PADI Discover Scuba

If you've never been scuba diving before and you want to find out what all the fuss is about (but you're not quite ready for a full open water certification), then the PADI Discover Scuba course is for you!
During your PADI Discover Scuba Course, you will:
- Learn foundational skills and guidelines for diving safely
- Get to know the basics about the most common scuba gear and how to use it while diving
- Learn how to breathe, swim, and move underwater with your scuba equipment
... all under the direct supervision and support of one of our PADI-certified Divemasters.
When you take your PADI Discover Scuba course at Diver's Oasis:
You'll start by reviewing the safety rules and information from the PADI DSD (Discover Scuba Dive) manual. Our professional staff will teach you everything you need to know before you even get near the water!
Once your instructor shows you how to use the scuba equipment, from there you'll move to the pool. This gives you the chance to practice your newly-acquired dive knowledge and skills in a safe, shallow environment before trying out the open water dive.
The Discover Dive will take place in the pool facilities at the Springfield Gymnastics & Aquatics Center.
Supporting Materials:
PADI DSD Participant manual — this participant guide will explain the full experience and will give you a chance to pre-study the safety rules and skill techniques that will be covered during the Discover Scuba class with your diving instructor.
Perfect for those who aren't ready to take a full scuba certification course.
Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to the many adventures awaiting you in the amazing underwater world of scuba diving.
